The BALTIMORE COUNTY DEMOCRATIC STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE (BCDSCC), known as the Baltimore County Democratic Party, was elected on June 26, 2018 during the Democratic Primary Election. A vacancy has occurred due to the resignation of a member of District 7. According to the BCDSCC bylaws, the remaining members are charged with making a recommendation to the full Committee regarding a new member. Each applicant must be a citizen of the United States, been a registered Maryland Democratic voter at the time of the last Primary Election and have permanent residence in Baltimore County’s 7th Legislative District. Interested individuals must submit the following materials to be considered:

Box 19092, Towson, MD 21286 and received by 11:59 pm on Friday, November 6, 2020. Applications that are missing a resume and letter of interest will be considered incomplete. All applicants will be interviewed publicly, and interviews will be conducted by the remaining Legislative District 7 Democratic Central Committee members on November 11, 2020 or November 14, 2020. Once application materials have been received, applicants will be notified of the exact time of their interview, which will be conducted virtually via ZOOM and streamed live from our Facebook page. The Baltimore County Democratic Party needs your help! Calling voters in swing states is a priority, but we still need to call voters in our own county and encourage them to make a plan to vote. Thus, we challenge Democrats across Baltimore County to see who can make the most calls! Box 19092, Towson, MD 21286 no later than 11:59 pm on Friday, November 6, 2020. BCDSCC received complete application materials (application form, resume and one page letter of interest) from the following individuals whose applications will move on to the next phase of review and interview by the Nominations Committee: Ruben Amaya Tom Atkins Frank Blatt Mark Brewster Chris Burk Tyler Cymet Gary English David Horst Neil Jennings Samay Kindra Matthew Koval Kyle Mc Nair Steven Nutt Tom Smith Mark Weaver David Williams Candidate interviews will be conducted by the BCDSCC Nominations Committee on Saturday October 10, 2020 via Zoom between 9:20 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. After completing all interviews the Nominations Committee will select two At-Large nominees, whose names will be forwarded to the full Baltimore County Central Committee. Both At-Large nominees will be introduced and speak before the Central Committee at its next regularly scheduled public meeting on October 20 , 2020. Immediately following their remarks a ratification vote by the Central Committee will take place. |
