BALTIMORE COUNTY DEMOCRATIC STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE SEEKS APPLICANT FOR OPEN LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT 6 POSITION
The Baltimore County Democratic State Central Committee (BCDSCC) is accepting applications and resumes to fill a Central Committee vacancy in District 6 for consideration.
To be eligible for consideration, the following criteria must be met:
• Be a registered Democratic voter in the State of Maryland;
• Be a resident of the State of Maryland for one (1) year;
• Be a resident of Legislative District 6 for six (6) months. (Confirm your district here: https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/members/district ); and
• Only applications from those individuals who identify as male or nonbinary.
Deadline: Interested and eligible candidates should email the following materials to [email protected] with the subject line “District 6 Vacancy” by 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 21, 2026:
(1) a completed application downloaded from the BCDSCC website
(2) a letter of intent,
(3) resume.
The Nominations Subcommittee will review applications and District 6 members will conduct interviews via Zoom tentatively on Monday, May 25, 2026, starting at 6:00 pm. The schedule for the Interviews will be announced, and they will be live streamed on the BCDSCC’s YouTube page:

Voting members of Legislative District 6 will vote publicly. The candidate receiving the most votes will be recommended to the full Committee for affirmation and official appointment to the Central Committee.
