Unity Celebration Honoree / Award Nomination
Each year the Baltimore County Democratic Party honors leaders at its annual Unity Dinner. This year’s honorees will include leaders across Baltimore County to include those in the metropolitan labor community and Democratic Advocates of the Year. These nominees should represent the best of Baltimore County and should stand for Democratic Party values.
Award Categories and Description
LABOR --- This award goes to someone in Baltimore County, whether a resident or by virtue of her or his work in Baltimore County, who has helped with the advancement of and development of labor unions and/or workers' rights, or who has otherwise served as an advocate on labor and employment issues.
LEADERSHIP --- This award goes to someone in Baltimore County, whether a resident or by virtue of her or his work in Baltimore County, who has served her or his community or organization with distinction and honor, setting an example for and inspiring others to take action on significant issues.
DEMOCRATIC ADVOCATE (Non-Central Committee Member) --- This award goes to someone in Baltimore County, whether a resident or by virtue of her or his work in Baltimore County, who has undertaken substantial efforts to advance Democratic Party positions, policies, and/or candidates. To evaluate nominees for this award, you may consider any and all efforts on behalf of the Democratic Party including but not limited to: volunteering, leadership, sponsorship, attendance at events, effects of efforts, recruitment of others, and commitment to advancing Democratic Party positions, policies, and/or candidates.
DEMOCRATIC ADVOCATE (Central Committee Member) --- This award goes to a Central Committee member who, over the past year, has undertaken substantial efforts to advance Democratic Party positions, policies, and/or candidates. To evaluate nominees for this award, you may consider any and all efforts on behalf of the Democratic Party including but not limited to: volunteering, leadership, sponsorship, attendance at events, effects of efforts, recruitment of others, and inspiration to others, and commitment to advancing Democratic Party positions, policies, and/or candidate.
