Vote-By-Mail / Absentee Ballot
By Executive Order Governor Hogan has directed that the Maryland 2020 November General Election will be conducted as a “normal” in-person election.
Vote-By-Mail / Absentee Ballots WILL NOT automatically be mailed to all active registered voters, as was done for the June 2, 2020 Primary Election. Therefore, voters who wish to vote by mail must complete and return a Vote-By-Mail / Absentee ballot application in order to receive a Vote-By-Mail ballot. The last day to request a Vote-By-Mail / Absentee ballot is October 20, 2020. Voting by mail is safe, secure and free. You will not need a stamp to return your ballot—the envelope will already have postage on it. Voters simply need to fill out their ballot, sign the oath on the envelope and place it back in the mail. Make sure your ballot is postmarked on or before Tuesday, November 3, 2020. |
